Wedowee Marine

Built around the lake. Built around people.

For more than 25 years, Wedowee Marine has helped people enjoy more of what makes Lake Wedowee special.

What began with one marina with minimal storage and service capabilities has grown into two full-service locations offering boat sales, service, storage, fuel, rentals, lodging, boat club membership and more. Through every stage, the purpose has remained the same: take exceptional care of people so they can spend more time together on and around the lake.

Why we're here.

More time together. More memories on the water.

Lakes have a way of bringing people together.

They become the setting for early mornings, long afternoons, first boat rides, family traditions and stories told for years afterward. Lake Wedowee offers something especially rare: deep, clear water, natural beauty and room to slow down.

Our mission is to provide exceptional service, care and hospitality so individuals and families can spend more time together and create lifelong memories on and around Lake Wedowee.

A foundation built by the Morris family.

Randy and Kathy Morris began building Wedowee Marine in 2000 when they purchased the Highway 431 location, now known as Wedowee Marine North.

The property needed vision, hard work and a willingness to do the work personally. Randy was not a hands-off owner. Employees remember him working beside them to build seawalls, improve the property and solve the countless problems involved in creating a marina from the ground up. He was known for being the first one there and the last one to leave.

Eric Morris joined the business in 2007, bringing that same work ethic and customer-first approach. In 2016, after nearly a decade of planning and construction, the family opened Wedowee Marine South on Highway 48.

Together, Randy, Kathy and Eric built more than marina facilities. They assembled an experienced team, developed trusted customer relationships and created a business where employees and customers could feel known and cared for like family.

The same standard. A growing experience.

As Randy and Kathy began their retirement, Wedowee Marine entered its next chapter.

Eric continues to serve as General Manager, working alongside the same experienced team and helping ensure that the values on which the business was built remain at its center.

We are preserving the personal attention, work ethic and customer care that customers have valued for decades while investing in facilities, technology and services that make the lake easier to enjoy.

The people and services may continue to grow. The standard does not change.

What exceptional care looks like.

We know our customers.

People should never feel like a transaction. We take time to understand what they need, explain their options and build relationships that last beyond a single sale or service visit.

We focus on the solution.

When something goes wrong, our first priority is helping determine the right next step. Over the years, our team has absorbed repair costs, replaced equipment and rearranged schedules when the circumstances called for it—not because every situation required it, but because taking care of people was the right thing to do.

We test our work where it matters.

A boat can behave differently on the water than it does in a service bay. When the work justifies it, we take the additional time to lake-test the boat under real operating conditions before returning it to its owner.

We protect your time on the lake.

Every day lost to uncertainty, delays or incomplete work is time a customer cannot spend with family and friends. We work diligently and communicate clearly so customers can return to the water with confidence.

The standard starts with our people.

Exceptional service requires employees who are prepared and empowered to provide it.

Our team members should expect to be known, cared for and given opportunities to gain experience and knowledge. They should have the training, tools and support needed to perform their work well and make thoughtful decisions for customers.

In return, we hold ourselves to high standards of honesty, integrity, diligence and thoroughness. We expect each person to take ownership of their work and provide uncompromising customer care—even when doing so requires more time or effort.

That is how trust is built inside the company and with the people we serve.

More ways to enjoy Lake Wedowee.

Wedowee Marine is continuing to grow beyond the traditional marina and dealership experience.

Today, customers can purchase, service, store and fuel their boats; rent boats and personal watercraft; and stay overnight or longer in our North marina condos.

The Wedowee Marine Boat Club is coming soon, creating another way to enjoy boating without the responsibilities of full-time boat ownership.

We are also continuing to develop community-focused conveniences, recreation, events and seasonal experiences that make the marinas welcoming places both on and off the water.

Each addition begins with the same question:

Will this make Lake Wedowee easier or more enjoyable for the people we serve?
